Tooth Fairy, where are you?
As with most developmental milestones, there is no standard for when teething will begin, how long it will last, or how painful it will be. A baby's first tooth usually comes in around the seventh month, although it can arrive as early as three months or as late as a year. Some common signs and symptoms of teething include:
Swelling - Swelling of the gum tissue is usually the first sign of impending tooth eruption.
Flushing or rash - Your child's cheek may appear flushed or develop a slight rash near where the tooth is erupting.
Drooling - Teething babies usually produce more saliva and drool excessively.
Crankiness- Teething babies are often unusually cranky and irritable and may not sleep well.
Try the following tips to help soothe teething pain:
Biting hard objects - Give your child hard objects such as teething rings, as these can ease some of the pain.
Cold - Frozen food such as a popsicle or frozen banana may also soothe your baby's gums during teething.
Numbing - There are several baby-safe teething gels available, such as Baby Orajel or Baby Ambesol, that you can apply directly to your baby's sore gums. However, some of these gels contain sugar so use them sparingly.
Baby ibuprofen - If your baby is going through a particularly painful phase, baby ibuprofen may help. As always, check with your pediatrician before giving any medication to your baby.

What you like about being mom
Naem,
What's your favorite thing about being a mom? Is it the joy you get in shaping a new little person? Or do you live for the quiet moments of cuddling? What's your least favorite thing? The constant dependency or sleep-deprivation? In your journal, write about your favorite, and not-so-favorite things about being Aiman's mom.

Travelling Sleeping
Hi naem!
Have you traveled with Aiman yet? How did he react to flying or the long car ride? Some babies are naturals while others take some time to get used to the idea. Giving him lots of love and reassuring him that you are there will help him to relax.

Foods To Avoid
Hi naem,
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends you begin introducing solid foods to your baby around six months of age to ensure he receives proper nutrition. While you are preparing for this momentous milestone, keep in mind there are a number of foods you should not give your baby until he is older, including:
Wheat: Wheat is the most common grain allergen so you should not give your baby wheat or wheat products until he is six to eight months old and can handle rice and oats.
Honey: Honey can harbor spores of botulism, which can grow and produce life-threatening toxins in your baby's intestinal tract. Do not give your baby honey until he is older than one year.
-->Seriously, hari tu ingat nak campur sket honey dalam susu soya dia (untuk pelan peralihan) biar rasa manis sket. Tatu lak pasal nih. Have to do some research!
Cow's Milk: Giving a baby cow's milk too early can cause childhood allergies. Wait to introduce cow's milk until he is one year old.
Eggs: Infants older than nine months can have egg yolks, but wait until your baby is older than one year to give him the protein-rich whites.
-->Aku pun allergic ngan telor gak. Tapi kek, kuih raya sume aku bedal. Tapi kalau makan banyak sangat tu bila breastfeed Aiman, dia pun naik merah2 gak.
Citrus: Check with your pediatrician before giving citrus juice to your baby as it can cause allergies.
Peanuts: Peanuts and peanut butter can cause violent allergic reactions and shouldn't be given to children younger than 3 years old.
-->Ni satu lagi my allergies. Memang takleh rasa langsung. Terus gatal tekak. Uweeek!
-->Ayam : aku tak allergic ayam, tapi Aiman ye. Sebab bila aku makan ayam, breastfeed, nanti muka badan sume naik merah2 gatal. Sian dia. Kena pakai callemine lotion. Seminggu baru hilang. Dah lama tak rasa KFC :(
-->Seafood : Ni aku tak allergic, tapi Aiman. Dah lama gile tak makan udang sotong ketam. Hmmmmm teringinnnnn...

Social Butterfly
Aiman is eager for some more sophisticated ways of socializing these days. He loves to play peek-a-boo and trying to find an object that you've hidden under a blanket. A potentially messy, but ultimately fun and interesting, activity for Aiman is playing with cooked spaghetti. The slippery, sticky, mushy consistency may provide oodles of noodle fun!
Seriously, takkan nak bagi main spaghetti kot?? Membazir tu. Bagi main mi kuning tu bleh x? hehe.
Encourage your baby's language skills by speaking slowly and clearly and imitating what he is trying to say. When he says "ba ba ba," say it back to him in a different tone of voice. Listen as he tries to imitate your inflection. Your baby will probably start "talking" when everyone else in the room is talking - a sign he is getting the idea of conversation.
Ni Aiman dah start cuba nak cakap. Kadang2 tu membebel je ntah ape2 la yg dia cakap pakai bahase die. Paling dia suka cakap "Aboooo" sambil menghembuskan air liur dengan banyaknya!
If your baby has been looking at the same toys or crib mobile for several months, now is a good time to change the scenery. Choose items with bright colors and big shapes, or ones that make noise. And now that he is starting to pull into a sitting position, be sure to remove any low-hanging mobiles or wall hangings that he may be able to reach.
Okay Daddy, time to look for new toys! (and Mommy's stuff too heheh)
